01

Tile is the finish, not the full defence

Grout and sealant help control water but are not a substitute for a continuous waterproof system in a wet area. Tanking protects the prepared background.

02

The details make the system

Corners, board joints, pipe holes and floor-to-wall changes need tapes, collars or seals that work with the membrane. Mixing unrelated products can weaken the result.

03

Coverage and drying matter

Membranes have required thickness, coat and drying instructions. Fitting tile too early or stretching too little material over a large wall can reduce protection.
